This morning we woke up early... maybe a bit too early for our liking but that's life when you own puppy. So, we decided to take the dogs for a walk around Eastlake which is a nature area about a 5 minute drive from our house. On the way, we made a quick stop at the bagel store for some breakfast for Ry and I. We're training Lily to be comfortable in a kennel in the car using our largest cat carrier... shhhhh, don't tell her... which is more then big enough for her right now. She and Caesar did just fine waiting in the car while we got food. Then, off to the lake it was. There's a very nice, gravel trail around a decent size lake and we were sure we would run into other people and dogs there. We were right! Lily is at such an impressionalbe age so we're trying to expose her to as many people, especially kids, and animals as we can. For the most part, Lily is extremely curious of other dogs and people, stopping often just to listen to things she sees and hears. A couple of the dogs made her a bit nervous, but she is getting used to them. The dogs had a great time on the 1 mile loop around the lake. We pooped them out and on the way home Lily feel asleep on my lap. Too cute!
When we got home we went outside for a quick potty break, grabbed a drink of water and then it was nap time. Lily (and Ryan's) favorite spot for that is on the couch all snuggled up to Ry. Ryan even covers her up with the blanket... I think she's loved! For a little while Caesar jumped up on the couch for some snuggling too. And you thought they wouldn't be friends!?! :)
